Frequently asked
Is the Ur Ice Magnetic R2 compatible with Wooting boards?
Yes. It is a magnetic (Hall-effect) switch built to work with the official Wooting driver, so it supports adjustable actuation and rapid trigger on compatible analog hot-swap boards. It will not function in a standard mechanical PCB that expects metal-contact switches.
How light is the Ur Ice Magnetic R2?
It is a light linear. Initial actuation sits around 35gf and it bottoms out near 50gf, so the keystroke stays soft and quick rather than heavy.
Does it need lubing?
Not really. The modified POM stem and polished housing are smooth out of the box, and because actuation is magnetic you cannot tune films the way you would a contact switch. A light factory feel is what you get.
